‘The Collector’ is a science fiction film that takes place in 2039 A.D. Los Angeles. In this near future, repeated environmental catastrophes and energy scarcity have resulted in energy rationing and authoritarianism. This story follows the relationship between Hal, a lonely old engineer living on the fringes of society and Mia, an android that he finds and restores.
